PITLANE HQ

What's new

0.8.27

• Moving an overlay looks cleaner: a frame, corner marks to resize and a small label.

0.8.26

• Overlays stay open and steady, without a dark border.

0.8.25

• On the PC, the lap analyzer and the coach load your sessions right away.
• "Sign out on this PC" is also in Settings.

0.8.24

• "Sign out on this PC" in My account.
• If your session on the PC ends, it asks you to sign in again with your email filled in: no reinstall.
• Connect asks your PC again after it declined.

0.8.22

• Pitlane HQ's emails can show its logo in your inbox.

0.8.21

• Public pages with the iRacing records of every car and track, in English and Spanish.

0.8.20

• A new logo, on every app and in the emails.
• Pitlane HQ's emails look like the app.

0.8.19

• Pitlane HQ's emails (confirm your email, reset your password) are sent a more reliable way.

0.8.18

• Emails from Pitlane HQ (confirm your email, reset your password) are sent in a safer format.

0.8.17

• Signing in with an email that has no account says so and offers to create it.
• Live: watch another driver first, the download below; the code gets its dashes by itself.
• My account is centred and simpler; "Compare with the community" is always in the lap analyzer.
• Phone apps: compact Analysis filters, and each track only once.

0.8.16

• The car card: what your car does on other tracks (hardest braking, shift speeds, top speed) against your lap, when nobody known is ahead of you here.
• With "+ Session" on, lap B shows only the laps of the other session.
• The next level and the record show once each in lap B.
• "Choose a session" keeps its title and × at the top while you scroll.

0.8.15

• The lap analyzer and the coach share laps A and B: what you pick in one is there in the other.
• "Choose a session" filters the car and the track apart.
• "MY BEST" goes after the lap time.
• Uninstalling Pitlane HQ removes all its data from the PC.

0.8.14

• Analysis: "Choose a session" opens a window with the discipline, the kind of session, the car and track and the days you drove; it opens by itself when you enter Analysis.
• Your PC accepts or declines when your phone or a browser presses Connect: nothing is sent before you accept.
• Live is simpler: no Wi-Fi panel, just whether your PC is online and Connect.
• A PC that stopped while saving can no longer come back signed out.

0.8.13

• Pitlane HQ no longer stays on the loading screen if you had chosen several race reminders before (the earliest one is used until you pick one).

0.8.12

• Watch another driver's live telemetry with a code: get yours on the PC (Settings → Phone) or from your phone, and type someone's in Live → Watch another driver.
• Live connects when you press Connect and stops with Disconnect; the PC app download is right under it.
• Profiles: each lap opens its leaderboard with the driver's place, and the days they drove.
• The supporter badge comes by itself with Patreon (same email) and shows next to your name everywhere.
• Leaderboards are just the fastest drivers of each car and track (no license classes); the lap analyzer and the coach use the same discipline selector.
• A tidier account tab with your email and id hidden until you show them, one race reminder at a time, and What's new works again.

0.8.11

• Leaderboards by discipline (Oval, Sports Car, Formula Car, Dirt Oval, Dirt Road) and license class, by lap time.
• Your fastest lap of each car and track goes to the leaderboard by itself once it is in your account.
• Driver profiles: tap a driver on a leaderboard to see their license classes, recent races and laps. Yours is in Community → My profile.
• Supporter badge for the people who donate, and a Leagues tab (in development).
• The coach says when you are the fastest, and filters your sessions by license, then car and track.
• Older race summaries get the incidents the analyzer already had; test drives no longer count for the model or the leaderboards.

0.8.10

• Your account syncs by itself on the PC, the web and the phone apps: when they open, when they come back to the screen and a few seconds after every change. A name changed on the phone shows everywhere.
• Changes made on two devices at once are merged; the question of which copy to keep is gone.
• PitlaneHQ.exe checks for new versions every 30 minutes, tells you with a notification and installs them by itself when no sim is running (Settings → About).
• Deleting your account keeps your leaderboard laps and what the coach model learnt, as an anonymous driver.

0.8.9

• A shorter coach: the gap, what to work on first, the plan, the map, the sectors and the corners that cost the most.
• The coach shows the record, the next level and your pace among the drivers of that car and track.

0.8.8

• The coach's sector table fits on phones, and the coach and the analyzer use the same sector times.

0.8.7

• The model learns from everyone you race against.
• Races without a report are rebuilt from the saved laps; the real iRating change replaces the estimate.

0.8.6

• The race summary's table shows each driver's sectors.

0.8.5

• The estimated iRating change is right way round now.
• Your own laps are marked as yours in the community lists, anonymous ones too.

0.8.4

• A bigger top menu on the PC and the web.
• The lap list and DRINKS mode look right on ultra-wide screens.
• Sharing a lap works even on a track and car Pitlane HQ did not know yet.

0.8.3

• Live telemetry on the web and the phones works again.
• The coach model's map now has everything the analyzer's map has.

0.8.2

• The coach's ideal lap is realistic again: laps that do not add up are left out.
• Analysis takes less room, and the sector times are right.
• Diagnostics closes again, and Settings shows your account clearly.

0.8.1

• Pitlane HQ Desktop (preview) now has its own installer.
• If a screen fails to load, it now tells you why.

0.8.0

• New accounts confirm their email before signing in.
• A welcome that tells you what to install on the device you are using.
• Sign out is now in Settings, and every popup has an X.
• The light theme is purple.

0.7.2

• Your older laps now teach the coach too, and it never forgets what it learnt.

0.7.1

• The coach learns from every valid lap as soon as it is driven, so its tips keep getting better.
• Laps you don't share only teach the coach: nobody sees them.

0.7.0

• Nicknames are unique now: if one is taken, we tell you.
• Before you share a lap or a race, choose how it shows: anonymous, your nickname or your iRacing name.
• Anonymous stays anonymous for good. Your nickname and iRacing name follow your changes.

0.6.2

• We're Pitlane HQ again, now at pitlanehq.app.
• New sign-in screen, and a quick welcome that tells you what to install on your PC and phone.
• The ⓘ button at the top has the news, updates, Patreon and a way to write to us.
• Track maps show the three sectors.
• Downloads now come straight from pitlanehq.app. The PC version installs and updates itself.

0.6.1

• Two-step sign-in with an authenticator app. Optional, but we recommend it.
• Your laps and race analyses are now stored encrypted on our server.
• The app tells you when there's a new version, with a link to what changed.

0.6.0

• Home shows the days you drove, like a calendar. Tap a day to see those races.
• Filters in My races: track, session type and your fastest ever.
• Your best-ever lap is marked in the analyzer and the Coach.

0.5

• Incidents on the lap list and the map, the same way iRacing names them.
• One track map for the analyzer, the Coach and the race summary, with hover and touch.
• Invalid laps show greyed out and crossed.
